Kimemia now ‘discloses Raila 2013 violence plot’

Nyandarua Governor Francis Kimemia yesterday claimed that security officers had thwarted a plan by the Opposition to cause mayhem after the 2013 election.

He said ongoing political unrest in the country is aNasa strategy to sabotage the economy.

“In 2013, there was a plan to bring armed goons into the demonstrations, kill people and blame it on the government,” he said.

Speaking in Ol Kalou when he presided over the ground-breaking at the County Assembly premises, Kimemia said had the plan worked in 2013, it would have made it easy for Nasa leader Raila Odinga to ascend to power because Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto were facing crimes against humanity at the International Criminal Court (ICC), The Hague.
