Jeff Koinange set to pilot new radio show

The Kenyan media mania Jeff Koinange and comedian Jalang’o are set to host a new radio show in Hot 96. The radio station is one of the subsidiaries of Royal Media Services, the parent company of Citizen TV in which Jeff hosts the popular Jeff Koinange Live (JKL) on Wednesdays.

Jalang’o who recently moved from Radio Maisha to supposedly follow a career in politics has now been poached by Hot 96. And with him is Jeff Koinange who worked in the defunct Easy FM in a slot that offered classic country music from 5-pm every Sunday.

“Join me every morning from 6am to 10am on the HOT BREAKFAST on HOT 96 With @jalangoo starting THIS THURSDAY!! Spread the WORD!!! It’s gonna be SSSSSSMOKIN HOT!!!!” Jeff excitedly made the announcement.

The new show is expected to bring hot competition to the wildly-popular Maina and King’ang’i Show. This is because it airs around the same time as the Classic 105 show, it has a comedian and a serious yet charming presenter and has 2 of the biggest industry heavyweights.

But this show stealing Maina and King’ang’I’ spot is highly unlikely since every matatu in Nairobi tunes in to the show.

Anyhow, Maina doesn’t seem shook about this new development and wrote this comment on Jeff Koinange’s promo video “Waiting for this bro!!!”
