KCSE 2016 results compared to previous years- A complete shock!

The 2016 KCSE results are now out. The results were released by Education CS Fred Matiang’i at Shimo la Tewa High School. Compared to previous years, the 2016 results are a complete shock to many, with the lowest number of A grades being registered by the candidates. Here is how this year’s candidates performed as compared to the previous years.

Only 88,928 students scored between A and C+. This will force the ministry to lower University entry grades so as to provide the required number of students to join different faculties. The CS also ordered KNEC to issue students with registration numbers to replace traditional index codes starting next year. Kenyans on social media have so far expressed their support for CS Matiang’i for his radical measures to restore integrity in the education sector.
