Budalangi Member of Parliament, Ababu Namwamba has experienced an enormous political setback after his efforts to have his new party registered became futile. This is after the registrar declined the party’s registration citing ownership issues.
“In view of the above and without prejudice, and since this issue concerns an existing party, the office finds it only fair and just to forward this letter of objection to the applicant for more information and appropriate action,” –Lucy Ndung’u, the Registrar of Political Parties.
This comes weeks after Hon. Namwamba defected from the ODM party, citing mismanagement by its leader. Namwamba is also alleged to be working secretly with DP. William Ruto, who is rumored to be behind Namwamba’s ODM exit.
The Federal Democratic Alliance of Kenya, Namamba’s new party is apparently aimed at taming CORD’s western region political dominance.
