Koffi Olomide caught on Camera assaulting woman at the JKIA

Congolese Rumba maestro Koffi Olomide was on Friday, July 22, captured on a video assaulting a female dancer after landing at JKIA.

The female dancer is part of the six people who have accompanied Olomide to Kenya for the aforementioned concert.

It is reported that the dancer had an altercation with Koffi’s wife Cindy.

The musician was reportedly calmed down by police officers at the airport before he was shown to his car that immediately sped off.

According to his handlers, Koffi was infuriated by the attack on Cindy which made him to overreacted. He has since apologised the woman.

The less than 20 second long viral video angered social media users who commend the assault.

Moh Kimani said “Kofi Olomide kicked a woman in front of the glare of cameras & cops! Why did he not get handcuffed & whisked away for assault?”.

Aside from the bashing by some, other users also commented on the incident saying they did not find anything wrong with what the musician did.

Case in point Clarence who said: “Wats the big deal if Liu Kang Olomide kicks his dancers? Ya’ll wnt him arrested?For wat? Labda hata iyo ni dance move wanatizi na nyi hamjui”.

The last bit loosely translates to: “May be that’s a new dance move he is practicing with his dancers”.
