Former Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth has refused to shelf his Nairobi gubernatorial ambitions despite his defeat by Sonko. Mike Mbuvi Sonko floored Peter Kenneth by a whooping margin. Kenneth claims that the Jubilee nominations were shambolic and that he was rigged out of the race.
“There were cases of ballot stuffing and non-members taking part in the nominations. In short, the elections were stolen,” he said on Friday.
He added that the 93 appeals out of a possible 105 seats contested during the nominations was an indication of rigging.
Peter Kenneth will face off the incumbent governor, Dr. Evans Kidero and Sent. Sonko on August 8.
