The ODM Party has cancelled the results for the Busia County Gubernatorial race in which the incumbent Governor Sospeter Ojaamong has declared the winner. The party’s National Elections’ Board cited serious malpractices for the cancellation. Funyula MP Paul Otuoma’s camp claimed that that Governor Ojaamong rigged the elections overnight, a strategy that was effected by delaying the results from one constituency. The Nairobi Observer has established that the Math on the registered number of voters in the contested constituency does not tally with the results announced by the chief returning officer.
Having gone through the documents and the data from the exercise that was carried out yesterday, the verdict of The Nairobi Observer’s political analysis team is that Busia’s nominations’ elections were rigged.
