Opposition suspends January demos, gives Senate team time to collect public opinion on election laws

The opposition, led by CORD has suspended the planned January 4th demonstrations against the election laws amendments. The opposition made this move after a Special sitting by the Senate developed a special team that shall collect public views on the implications of the law amendments. Led by Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Senators James Orengo (Siaya) and Moses Wetang’ula (Bungoma), CORD lauded the Senate for allowing public to give views on the amendment.
