A Kenyan MP approves a death sentence against his son

By Sam Nyang’u

Matuga’s Member of Parliament, Hassan Mwanyoha shocked many as he nodded to a death sentence issued by a court against his son. The erring son, Mafanikio Mwanyoha was found guilty for robbery charges launched against him. Apparently, his family neglected him during the entire court proceedings and throughout the legal processes leading to his conviction. Ironic to his name, Mr Mafanikio may not be lucky as an appeal against his conviction is unlikely. Members of the public have expressed their happiness on the decision made by the MP, saying he has shown a good example in the fight against terrorism and robbery.
