Raila issues terms for his stepping down as CORD’s Presidential candidate

Raila Odinga has expressed his readiness to quit his presidential bid. The opposition leader has however stated that he will step down only if his coalition chooses someone better than him to battle it out with President Kenyatta.

The CORD coalition has in the recent past been observed to deteriorate in popularity. According to0 the recent political survey by IPSOS Kenya, the former PM has dropped points since 2013, after the reigning Jubilee coalition took power. CORD has also been observed to lose grip on its strongholds around the country.
